The Dress

I have this gorgeous romantic image from Digistamps4 Joy and just could not wait to use it. It is called THE DRESS. So dreamy.
I coloured the image slightly as I did not want to overwhelm the pretty picture. I found some old paper in the pattern of lace, just perfect! I embossed some shot silk type card stock and assembled as can be see. I finished with a small sentiment and three cream pearls.

Bugaboo Challenge #124

I saw this Challenge and knew immediately it would work well with this beautiful stamp from Digistamps4 Joy. I wanted to counteract our dreadful dark nights and miserable days here in the UK in November. I used a mix of Spectrum Noir, Copics and Promarkers to colour the image. I matted onto Black. Then I used some stash of long forgotten origin as it is so bold and vibrant. I used my WW Border punch system to recreate the sketch given by Bugaboo. I then found the sentiment on a piece of old scrapbook paper to finish. I would like to enter this card at Bugaboo Sketch Challenge 124

Hobbycraft buys!

Yesterday I visited Hobbycrafts at the NEC with two good friends Carol and June. We were exhausted and overcome by the huge crowds at various times during the day but............... I found so many lovely items on my wish list. Here is the first card I have made with my new goodies. I coloured my base card with my new Pan Pastels, so much better than I ever imagined. I overstamped with a £1, yes £1 Penny Black stamp out of a bargain bin in Pine needles Distress ink. I used a Framelit to cut out the shape. I mounted it onto a piece of Core Craft embossed with a Sissix embossing folder again from the £1 bin. I added some Movers and Shapers Poinsettia flowers and gem and a black glitter card "25" again with a Movers and Shapers die. A few dots of red Stickles complete the look, I am pleased.

Christmas Wreath

I have used a LadyBug Crafts Ink digi to make this card. I have kept it quite simple and used a Cuttlebug embossing to enhance with Craftwork Cards sentiment ribbon strip. I glossed the baubles for effect and it works well.

The Holly & The Ivy

A LadyBug Crafts Ink digi that cried out to have a dark christmas green to enhance. I used a Darice embossing folder, these are great as they come in 5x7" and look good on a A5 card. I found some unknown older paper stash that looks good with the red and green. I used gold to matt and layer along with a Martha Stewart border edge punch. I designed the Magical Christmas stamp myself.

Girl in the Snow

Another D'arcy's Diaries pretty stamp. I used some old trimcraft paper stash in a soft warm grey which I really like then bought blue and red into play for effect. I cut the flourish on my eCraft machine to complement and liven up the grey. The greet and ribbon strip are from Craftwork Cards. I used a pearl as an embellishment.

Christmas Fairy

Here is a sweet card made with a Michelle Perkett digi stamp I have renamed Chrissie. The base cardstock is a frosted offwhite and I used pure white pearl card to emboss with my Darice embossing folder. The patterned paper is a DO older bit of stash. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards. I used a small piece of pale blue ribbon to embellish.
