So it is new release date at Digistamps For Joy and here is one that is perfect for all those celebrations and parties!!

I used:
A digi from Digistamps For Joy called "2013 fireworks"! coloured with Artiste Brushmarkers
A Craftwork Cards 6" sq card with a fancy bottom edge
Some old but lovely colour co-ordinated striped and pink paper
I generated my own sentiment on my pc
I added some flowers and buttons
I glittered the stars and flashes with Glamour Dust

With Sympathy

No one ever wants to make a Sympathy Card, but unfortunately I have had to. It is not myself I feel sorry for, but the recipient. What an awful time of year to lose someone................

Fairie Love

I have fallen in love with this digi. It appears to be a brother and sister in a loving pose. I remember my girls doing just the same thing!

I used :
An unknown but pretty paper
The image from Emerald Faerie
I coloured with mixed alcohol pens
|I made the flower up from a K & Co book of and added a brad
I matted and layered with several shades of green
I added glitter (Stickles) to the wings

It is simple but I am happy with it

This is the Challenge over at Saturday's Paper Ala Mode over at the Outlawz

I used:

1. A sweet digi from the Digistamps For Joy shop
I coloured her with a mix of alcohol pens
2. Two ribbons from my stash
3. three buttons from my "tin
4. Four DPs, these are so old, they are some from Hot off the Press but still pretty!
I added a Craftwork Cards sentiment and a Kanban one too.
I think it has made a pretty little card.

There's something magical about Christmas' Challenge # 57 At Digistamps For Joy

It is time for a new Challenge over at Digistamps For Joy , why not pop over and have a look and try your hand, we always love top see what you can create!
I adore this image so much I used it on the card for my only Grandchild ~ and much adored by my husband and me! Holly. Born at Christmas time six years ago.
I used traditional Christmas colours and my inspiration was her face when we saw some fantastic Christmas lights last year. Her rapture whilst gazing at them is so similar. That is the Magic of Christmas for me, the look in a childs eye.
I used a fantastic digi from Digistamps4 Joy and she is called Winter face and she has to be a staple of anyone's Christmas Stamp collection.

I coloured her with alcohol pens
I matted onto white CS, wrapped a red spotty ribbon around, and used my WW border punch on the bottom and matted onto silver to allow the snowflakes to show through
I covered the top half of the card with a Kanban DP and the bottom with a blue pearl
I generated my own sentiment on the PC
I added a pretty red flower, just because!

Blue Dress on hanger

There is a colour Challenge on at the Outlawz using Indigo, Empire Yellow and Domino, so I put on my thinking cap and came up with this card.
I used:
Dress on hanger digi from Digistamps For Joy
I coloured with a mix of alcohol pens and my white gel pen and added a bit of glitter to add glamour!
I used Indigo and yellow card stock
I added black gem stones and a big black flower topped with a blue sequin flower to colour co-ordinate
I shall be sending this to my most glamorous friend!

Joy and Peace

The December 11 Color Challenge over at the Outlawz is the inspiration for this card. I thought, and though then thought a little more until the penny dropped and I designed this card.

and they are called Joy 'n Peace sentiment and Button set (great value set, there are eight different buttons just made for a button freak like me!

Zebra

I read the Challenge over at the Outlawz for It's a Jungle Out There and straight away thought of this wonderful digi from Digistamps For Joy and it is called ZEBRA.

I used:
Spectrum Noir and a Sharpie to get into those tight corners
Some old rust scrap and some K& Co Recycled card stock
A small square punch
Black cardstock
Glossy Accents on the eye

I love the impact this stamp has. It is one of my all time favourites and whoever receives a card from me with this image always remarks on it.

Celebration Cake

So tomorrow is my lovely friend Liz's birthday! She is a professional cake maker and decorator extraordinaire. She is obsessed with anything CAKE! So I had to use this great digi from Digistamps For Joy - Celebration Cake and you can buy it here.
I saw a challenge sketch I really wanted to try and this is what I came up with.

This lady oozes class and grace. A little sad maybe? I still love to use her, she always looks fabulous on a card.

Christmas Candle

I came across a sketch at the Outlawz and JUST HAD to have a go. It is the Wednesday Sketch Challenge December the fifth.

I used:
A 5.5" sq card
Dark green card stock to mat and layer
Trimcraft Vintage Christmas paper
Two pre cut snowflake with two red buttons from my button tin
I used the beautiful digi Christmas candles from Digistamps4 Joy Coloured with Promarkers
I finished with a Safmat Greeting

The Eyes Have It

I needed a gift box for my gorgeous Granddaughter, Holly, who is six this month. I know it's winter but I wanted something fun and fresh so I used Curly Carly from Digistamps4 Joy. I love those BIG EYES!
I made a "milk carton" style box.
I also cut two shapes on my eCraft machine, the medallion and the scalloped oval.
I punched two butterflies with my SU punch and added two gems from my stash for the sternum.
A Safmat greeting to name the occasion.
Two eyelets added with a Cropodile
A pretty aqua spotted ribbon for the closure.
I hope she will find the contents just as interesting!!!!!

Christmas Owl

I wanted to make my SIL a Christmas Card with a difference. I saw the challenge on the Outlawz December 1st 2012 - Paper Ala Mode and was inspired to make this creation.

I used:

A digi called Dozy Owl from Digistamps4 Joy and coloured him with promarkers
I found some papers of forgotten origin to make my long banners
I added a Craftwork Cards Christmas sentiment to a punched circle of matching red paper
I had some pre-cut snowflakes which I put the above on and glittered with Glamour Dust
I added some Glossy accents to the eyes.
I finished with three red Card Candy

I hope he likes it!

What a sweetie, perfect for any lady or young girl and don't you just love all that PINK?
I started with a base card of pink! I embossed some white with my Tim Holtz Snowflake folder. After adding this to the card I made a border strip with pink glitter board using a WW border system. I cut a lovely label shape on my eCraft and matted a sweet digi from Digistamps4 Joy which I had coloured with Promarkers. I just love her. Then I die cut the Poinsettia flowers and 25 with some more Tim Holtz stash. After punching some fern like strands in green I assembled all as shown and added a sentiment and some pink gems to the flower centres. I think it looks delightful and hope you enjoy it.

Winston Churchill has always been an inspirational man to me and my family. My father had a great admiration for a strong man and I seem to feel the same. When I saw this at the Digistamps4 Joy shop I was thrilled. It can be so hard to find suitable images for a man's card. This seems perfect to me. I used suitable "manly" colours and love the layout which I had seen on a Bugaboo Challenge.

Here is my DT card for this weeks new releases at Digistamps4 Joy and she is called Gwendoline, isn't she glamorous?
I used olive, red and blue as my colour palette. I made an easel card and coloured the image with alcohol pens. I generated my own sentiment. I included stars and a poinsettia along with some gems to add to the Christmas feel. I hope you like her!

Pretty Calendar

I always try to make a calendar for my friends and family as a little extra at Christmas. This is for my MIL. I used an olive card stock and folded it as can be seen on the side picture. I love my new WW border cassette Garland and use it with abandon. I chose navy as my accent colour to bring out the Yellow in this sweet digi from Digistamps4 Joy called Cosmos corsagewhich is just one of many lovely images available. I coloured with alcohol markers and added gems and flowers just because!!
